Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of international certifications on the competitiveness of four Mexican organic product companies. Certifications, such as EU Organic and USDA Organic, are essential for accessing international markets and ensuring product quality and safety. Porter's theory of competitive advantage highlights differentiation as a key strategy, where certifications act as a seal of quality that increases consumer confidence. Furthermore, these certifications facilitate customs procedures and open opportunities for strategic collaborations. Together, they allow these companies to improve their reputation and compete competitively in an increasingly demanding global market.
